Transient Entertainment
Transient Entertainment is a fictional movie production company. The adjective transient describes something that always changes or moves around, something temporary or transitory. In filmmaking, each frame lasts only for a short time; they are impermanent.
The animated logo intro depicts a random scene from the daily routine of a New Yorker, with the help of consecutive photographs. Instead of using 24 frames per second, a few frames are taken out to accentuate the production lying behind the featured movie. Finally the video freezes: in this particular frame, a girl is seen through the windows of the train – a detail probably most people would have missed if the action wasn’t frozen.
